On April 10, the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Guangzhou released its 2008 legislation plan. There are 10 local regulations listed for the deliberation of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Guangzhou this year. Another eight regulation items will be drafted within this year and be arranged for deliberation when the conditions are mature.
Three regulations are re-filed to the Standing Committee for further deliberation, and these are the Comprehensive Enforcement Ordinance of Guangzhou's Urban Administration, Guangzhou's Ordinance for Tourism, and Guangzhou's Management Ordinance of Housing Safety.
Seven local regulations have been brought forward for the first deliberation of the Standing Committee including Guangzhou's Ordinance of Dog Raising Management, Guangzhou's Ordinance of Taxi Management, Guangzhou's Ordinance of Urban Greening Management (Revised), Guangzhou's Measures of Local Legislations (revised) and Guangzhou's Regulations of the Public Keep-Fit programs.
In addition, eight regulatory items are to be studied and drafted in this years meeting all of which will be arranged for deliberation when conditions are mature. They are the Social Emergency Medical Services Act of Guangzhou, Regulations of the Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development District, the Information Ordinance of Guangzhou, the Construction Waste Management Ordinance of Guangzhou, the Architectural Energy Saving Management Regulations of Guangzhou, the Civil Air Defense Management Regulations of Guangzhou, the Urban-Rural Planning Ordinance of Guangzhou, and the Conference and Exhibition Industrial Management Regulations of Guangzhou.
