Thai Prime Minister visits Guangzhou

On Saturday morning(July 2nd), Zhang Dejiang, Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Committee, gave a warm welcome to Thaksin Shinawatra the Prime Minister of Thailand, at the Garden Hotel (Jul 2nd) to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between Thailand and China. 

Shinawatra's visit to Guangdong signifies the important economic relationship between Guangdong and Thailand. In 2004, imports and exports between Thailand and Guangdong reached over 6 billion USD, accounting for over 30% of the total trade between Thailand and China. Zhang said, Guangdong consumes large quantities of Thai agricultural products and he said the future for trade between the two countries will be bright, especially between Guangdong province and Thailand.
